More Than Just Potatoes

SPUD Logo

Online grocery shopping seems to get better every day. Small Potatoes Urban Delivery (SPUD) proves our point perfectly with their huge selection of natural, organic and local products, as well as a 100% satisfaction guarantee, admitting they “understand that buying sight unseen requires more trust than shopping at a grocery store.” They also offer free shipping on orders over $35, which is an easy total to break given their expansive product offerings. Currently, Spud’s services are only available to those of us on the West Coast, but they plan to expand, so be on the lookout.  www.spud.com

As Versatile as Our Soda

We opened our first company store and tasting bar a little over a year ago in Seattle.  As you might imagine, we sell a lot of DRY Soda through the store.  This is great, but it also means we’re constantly hauling fresh cases of DRY up from our back room to keep the refrigerator fully stocked.  Just today we received a four-pallet shipment of DRY.  Wearing collared shirts, dress shoes, heels and skirts, we managed to dolly each case to its respective territory.  After a morning like that, this hand truck chair speaks to us more than ever.  We just may use it to wheel each other to our favorite corner coffee shop. Find one for yourself, perhaps even in a custom color, at banalextra.it.

Pool Table Table

Ah, the joys of a pool table.  Owning one provides hours of entertainment and has the ability to magnetically attract house guests. The problem - most of us city dwellers don’t have the space for a big, clunky, game that requires its own room.  Aramith, the creator of Fusion Tables, has provided a sophisticated, stylish and functional answer to this perplexity.  Dine on a beautiful wooden or metal table, then with minimal effort, shift panels to transform it into a high quality pool and/or game table.  To customize, choose your own metal, wood finish and Velocity PRO cloth color.  Even cues and pool balls neatly stored within.  We are nearly ready to replace our conference room table, as we are completely convinced by the people at Fusion Table when they say, “pool is cool.”  www.fusiontables.com

No Nails Necessary

wallpaper.jpg

Have a child who loves to draw on the walls?  Were you that child at one point?  If you ever see the inventive art and work plastered on the corkboard walls of our office spaces here at DRY HQ, you’ll find we are still those kids.  Rest assured that most of us would put this wallpaper from Taylor and Wood to good use.  Black frames cover this durable white paper, allowing the decorator and his or her loved ones to fill in the spaces with their own photos, drawings, prints or paintings.  Find the wallpaper and all the necessary tools to hang it at www.grahambrown.com/us.

Playing With Food

bananagrams-sm.jpg

Move over Scrabble, we found something new for you word game fans.  With no waiting for your slow sibling or significant other to find the perfect point-maximizing word and no need to turn the game board, Bananagrams is fast paced and involves all players at once.  Each player forms and continuously rearranges their own crossword as new letter tiles are drawn throughout the game.  Bananagrams has won a shelf full of awards and is great for adults, (we discovered it on a ferry ride back to Seattle) families and kids. Play at your own risk - it is highly addictive and has been known to create heat in competitive crowds!  www.bananagrams-intl.com

What’s in a name?

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

chickenpooplipbalm.jpg

The packaging for Chicken Poop Lip Junk asked us to “put, put it on your lips,” so we did exactly that, after an explanation, of course.  With the ability to get laughs out of our CEO’s kids as well as the majority of DRY employees, our design team and our friends at Whole Foods, Chicken Poop also smells great - like lavender and oranges - and soothes lips like a dream.  We are also fans of their simple black and white tube design, small ingredient list and honest message, ensuring potential skeptics that Chicken Poop actually “contains no poop.”  Then why the name? We’re leaving it up to you to find out. www.ilovechickenpoop.com

Wellies

Here in the damp Northwest, we are in dire need of fashionable and sophisticated ways to wade through puddles on our way to DRY HQ.  Hailing from fashion savvy London, Wellington, a traditional maker of “rubber” boots, is now combining fashion with function in their online store, WellieArt.  These things are no longer just for kids.  Choose from many adorable rubber Wellington Boots adorned in everything from Pucci-inspired patterns to faux-snakeskin.  They’re sure to make your next winter outdoor adventure or walk to the office more lively.   www.wellieart.co.uk

Wall Candy

Wall Candy

What if we told you we found candy you could enjoy guilt-free, as often as you want, in serving sizes weighing a couple pounds and measuring up to 48″? No, we’re not talking about the next fad diet, but we are referring to a collection of amazing limited edition digital c-prints by Craig Kanarick.  He has photographed a variety of our favorite candies in the most masterful way and presented them on archival paper mounted behind plexiglass.  We’ve decided that until the Candy Diet shows its face and proves itself to our personal trainers, we’ll be perfectly content with these delicious works of art.  www.rockmade.com
